that's an interesting question... as you said, the croak is in the ear of the beholder. I think I'm the type of person that doesn't try to croak too hard. This attitude is a little stressful, at first, in the company of loud croakers or people who have a sensitive ear. At the same time, what makes me unique is that I fit in with my similars and opposites once we get to know each other. This comes from the fact that I've never been part of "one group" per se. For example, I'm into both types of football, and I have a good time with both the more "latty" type and with so-called "intellectuals".

Did this make any sense? My personal opinion is that we've invented some sort of new language...

and pay no worship to the garish sun

It made a quite a great deal of sense. the best way to croak is to croak your own way, regardless of how others are croaking. its more interesting, and you end up meeting others that are unique croakers in the process. being well-rounded makes it easy to fit into multiple groups that may be opposite or similar in ideology.

Actually, frogs are an exception in the animal kingdom. They can't even walk on humans like spiders or lizards if they wanted to. They can only hop around.

I admit some frogs may be too big for many people's liking. But there are some really small ones that I don't think anyone would deny cuteness.

                      Thanks for the welcome!

hmm, how can people not like frogs? most of them are cute and harmless. i wonder if the old wives tale saying that if you hold a frog you will get warts is what is detering these people from frogs?

either way, peoples opinions are peoples opinions.

yeah, but then I would think that the tale that if you kiss a frog it will turn into a prince would cancel that out...

I guess people just had a bad day... though some are honestly "undecided". I'm glad that I at least brought the question forward for them so they can consider it during their lifetime...

I also might have to make a frog-thread with undisputaly cute pictures. Or I might try a new approach with turtles or ducks...

In any case, the campaign will not end here!
