I disagree big time. I've compared the cultures, and Iran has strong concept of discourse, which means that we make customs through discussion and observing dialogues. Only with discourse can people suddenly decide to vote for reform or something.

Disagreement does not mean fighting. Also, between me and Mike is very exceptional circumstances. Iran in general is in very exceptional circumstance.

I agree that we are not perfect in discussion, but to say it is because of blood or culture neglects fact of the very difficult situation of fighting superpower!

Last thing: you are just giving mike more reasons to go against Iranians. We "eshkal" so much each other, and this gives people like Mike (e.g. americans) reason to say Iranians can not govern themselves. There are many positives and I don't think many people in the world know them.

Our political situation is very extreme Mr. Saeid, so it is hard to talk. But we will learn. Also, I'm saying don't look at just the negatives. You must also look at the positives, because many people don't know Iranians and think we are very backward people with no history and culture. And then they justify colonialism and war.

So we can't trust anyone with our problems. This does not mean we should not accept any problems. We should, but with people we can trust. Because we want to be independent, and independently solve our problems. We are not pushing problems under the rug, just we should be smart, even strategic, about it.

Also, the negatives are exaggerated. Everyone says Iranian culture is negative, but we have a great common sense, culture, judgment and dialogue. Just look at the many people on this website that have discussions. Look at your quote in your signature. Iranians have a great sense of logic, and especially HONESTY, that many cultures do not have. Like Western political culture is not based on honesty, it is based on competition, and there is no hope for honesty between two people from different ideology there. But when Iranis talk politics, they are very, very honest, and that's it.

Most of the effect for Iranians is mental, and this is a culture difference from other cultures: we learn from cultures, we learn from each other, but we sometimes don't say it verbally. We show it in movies, votes, and revolution, but we don't say we agree with each other.

We take different perspective under consideration and we talk about it, but we don't believe anything we hear. This is a problem for every culture: no culture knows how to advance their political knowledge. But we can find a way. I have personally studied a way that used to exist in Greece long time ago that works. It is also part of Hegel's writing, in general termed "discourse" or "dialectic". It means there is political truth and we learn it together gradually. I see that Iranians are doing this better than many cultures through logic. But with US culture this can easily go away. Logic is not used under US political system.

People don't see it, but we also have strong unity. Iranians feel more comfortable with Iranians now, and they feel unified as Iranians. You see many people come to this website who are Iranians and live in US all their life, and they say they don't feel at home, they don't feel welcomed, and they enjoy Iranian company.

Look at the positive things also. Why? Because when no one knows about the positive things, they just give up on our culture completely. If there is nothing good, they just leave Irani culture completely and they ask for solutions that take away our independence and culture.
