Real Madrid 3-2 Getafe
Gonzalo Higuain's stunning injury-time strike secured a remarkable 3-2 comeback win for hosts Real Madrid in the Primera Liga on Tuesday.
The champions narrowed the gap on leaders Barcelona to just three points, with Pep Guardiola's side not playing at home to third-placed Sevilla until Wednesday.
Roberto Soldado had put Getafe ahead early on but Higuain grabbed an equaliser on the halftime whistle. An increasingly tetchy match then exploded into life at the end.
Substitute Juan Albin netted a second goal for the visitors in the 84th minute only for Guti to level almost immediately with a curling freekick.
Getafe's Francisco Casquero went down in the area with two minutes to go for a penalty, which saw Real defender Pepe sent off as he impetuously kicked his opponent on the ground.
But Iker Casillas saved Casquero's weak spot kick and, as the crowd roared Real on, Higuain lashed a shot high into the corner of the net to spark wild celebrations on the pitch.

Villarreal has reached an agreement that will allow coach Manuel Pellegrini to take over at Real Madrid, news reports said Monday.
Club manager Jose Manuel Llaneza told the national news agency Efe that contacts were made and "as is logical between two clubs that get on, an agreement was reached."
Pellegrini would replace Juande Ramos, who took over at Real Madrid midseason after Bernd Schuster was fired.
On Saturday, the Chilean said he had not had any contact with Real Madrid over a potential move to the club.
A spokeswoman for Villarreal said there had been contacts with Real Madrid but insisted there was no official confirmation of the deal.
Pellegrini has transformed Villarreal since arriving in 2004. The club finished fifth in La Liga this season, clinching a place in next season's Europa League, formerly the UEFA Cup.
Madrid finished second to Barcelona and was eliminated in the first knockout stage of the Champions League for the fifth straight season.
Recent reports have said incoming Real Madrid president Florentino Perez plans to present Pellegrini on Tuesday and Milan's Kaka as the club's new star player Thursday.
Perez was due to be confirmed as club president later Monday. He is the only candidate for elections that had been scheduled to be held on June 14.

The 62-year-old will be sworn in at the Real's Santiago Bernabeu stadium at 1pm (1100 GMT).
Several challengers, who had been expected to oppose Perez, were not able to lodge a bank guarantee of 57.4 million euros (81.1 million dollars) required by the club to be able to run for president.
Perez last led Real, Spain's historically most successful team and the world's richest football club by revenues, from 2000 to 2006.
During this time Real earned the nickname "Los Galacticos", winning the Primera Liga twice and the European Champions League with big name players including Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, Luis Figo and David Beckham.
He officially presented his candidacy on Thursday under the slogan "the dream is back" and said the team he anticipated building would be "world beaters".
"We will build a spectacular team with top notch players," he said. "We have set up a strong and stable sporting project which will be able to call upon footballers who will turn each Real Madrid match into a fascinating rendez-vous."
Perez has not mentioned any names regarding top signings but Spanish media has reported that Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, currently at Villarreal, would become coach in place of Juande Ramos and the club would also land AC Milan's Brazilian playmaker Kaka.
Over the weekend, Perez lamented the club's error in not signing Cristiano Ronaldo – with whom the club have been linked for over a year – following the departure of David Beckham in 2007.
Convinced the Portuguese winger is the key to Real re-establishing themselves as the most financially elite in the world, Perez said: "Madrid should have brought Cristiano Ronaldo as Beckham's replacement two years ago.
"When Beckham arrived our sponsors significantly raised their payments to us and we rescued the finances of the club. What happened in the last few years is that the club did not reinvest in the type of players to continue with that model. I want to put that right.
"There are specific footballers who can turn out to be very profitable because of the commercial benefits they bring the club."
Media reports also constantly speculate that Liverpool's Spanish star Xabi Alonso and Bayern Munich's French star Franck Ribery will don the all-white strip next term.
Real has been led on an interim basis by Vicente Boluda, who took the reins of the club after Ramon Calderon stepped down in January following allegations that he rigged voting at the club's last annual general assembly in December.
Had another candidate stood against Perez, elections for president – normally held every four years – would have taken place on June 14.
Real's arch-rivals Barcelona won the Champions League, the Spanish title and the Spanish Cup this season under debutante coach Pep Guardiola.
But in an interview published Sunday in daily newspaper El Pais, Perez said Barcelona's success this season "motivates me even more".
"I do not place any limit on myself," he told the newspaper, adding the club "needs a revolution".

Despite earlier reports suggesting Real Madrid would break the bank to sign Franck Ribery, the club may now have found a cheaper solution to land the French star.
According to Marca, Real Madrid are having second thoughts over the required transfer fee for Ribery, with Bayern Munich demanding €60 million as the bare minimum basis for negotiations.
However, Los Merengues have come up with a new way of getting their man.
Louis Van Gaal has just taken over at the Allianz Arena and Florentino Perez is keen to tempt him with some of his compatriots from Real Madrid. Perez believes that if they were to offer Wesley Sneijder and Rafael Van Der Vaart in exchange, Ribery could move in the other direction for little or no transfer fee.
Van Gaal is said to be a fan of both players, making an exchange deal more likely. Rafael Van Der Vaart has extensive experience of the Bundesliga, from his time at Hamburg, and given his lack of chances at the Bernabeu, an exit looks increasingly likely.
Sniejder, meanwhile, had a slightly more encouraging season, but Bayern are determined to include the Dutchman, who cost Real Madrid €27 million, in any potential deal for Ribery.

Ronaldo
As you've probably heard, it has been confirmed that THERE is an agreement with Cristiano Ronaldo's agent. The bottom line of the agreement is If Ronaldo doesn't come to Real because he doesn't want to, then he'll have to pay us somewhere in the region of 30m euros, and If we don't agree to sign him we'll have to pay him a similar amount. The deadline is the end of June.
You know what, I think this is very ridiculous. The price tag is 80m euros. That's what Ramon Calderon agreed to pay to Man UTD. I'm a nice guy and I respect all people no matter who they are, but I have to say that Senor Calderon was VERY DUMP. He put us in a difficult situation and it is unfair for Perez to be in it. But this is part of Perez' duty as president -- cleaning the old mess.
This will probably make us lose focus on our targets. Perez says that his friendship with Man UTD and other clubs is much more important than signings and I like that. However, he'll try to bring Ronaldo but he knows it is going to be difficult. The most difficult part is agreeing on Man UTD's price which is 80m euros. That's a lot and I think he deserves what we paid for Kaka.
Perez has already hired lawyers who are studying the contract and figuring a way out of the deal, but I think this is a good chance to bring Ronaldo, although we'll have to pay a lot of money for him.

Ribery
Because Perez will likely pay Cristiano Ronald tons of cash this summer (whether we sign him or not), other deals are being on hold or it is time for "re-think strategy". Bayern thought that Perez robbed a bank and wanted to get as much money out his pocket as possible. One of Ribery's two legs cost 50m euros, their general manager stated. Well, that isn't funny, but sure, his legs worth millions. Bayern are asking for 70m-80m euros, and Real can't go higher than 60m euros.
So here is whats going on:
Perez: Hey dude, you guys take Sneijder and Van der vaart, and you gimme Ribery, sounds good?
Beckenbauer: Naaah, dude, I want some cash. If you can't pay, gimme Metzelder to make it three for one, how about that?
Perez: Ribery aint Maradona!
Beckenbauerr: Alright, Sneijder and Robben and you get the French dude for free.
Perez: mmmmm, let me think about it.
So as many newspapers have reported, Real are looking at the possibility of getting Ribery for free in exchange for two players. Those include Sneijder, Van der vaart, Metzelder, Drenthe, and Ruud Van Nistelrooy. So it is basically that Bayern pick the two they want and get them.
I'd be very diasppointed If Sneijder, Van der vaart or Robben were offloaded. As I said before, the best thing is to loan them, but I think it would be worth it If we exchanged them for Ribery.
For me, Robben is untouchable. I think it would be a stupid mistake If we included Robben in the deal. I'd also like to have Sneijder as a backup for Kaka, but once again If Sneijder plus Van der vaart means Ribery, I'd be happy to let them go.

Villa & Silva
Chelsea has tabled a 40m euro bid for Villa, and Valencia will try to get more by using Real, but David will be the one who decides. He wants to stay in Spain and he can either go to Real or Barcelona.
Barca are trying to offload Eto'o and are keeping an eye on both Inter Milan's Ibrahimovic and Villa himself.
It has been also reported that Real have already been in contact with Silva and will present an offer to him and Villa next week.
I don't know where those two will fit in out squad. We already have four strikers in Rau'l, Van Nistelrooy, Higuain and Huntelaar (excluding Saviola who will definitely leave).
Since Rau'l is untouchable, one of the remaining three will have to go If Villa comes and it is likely to be Van Nistelrooy.
Tottenham are said to be interested in him. He still has one year left in his contract and doesn't want to leave, but it is most likely that he does.

Here are photos of Real Madrid's Home & Away 2009/2010 Kits for those who are looking for them. The home shirt doesn't look different to the 2008/2009 shirt, but I like the yellow line. However, I like the away shirt more -- I kind of like dark colors. I hope I'll get one soon.
In other news and according to Sid Lowe, The Guardian UK correspondent in Spain, Real Madrid have beaten Chelsea and signed Kaka.
What basically happened was that Abrahimovic called Galliani and offered him more money for Kaka, but Galliani told him that they had already sold him to Real and he'd need to talk to Perez If he wanted him.
