دكترمحمد خبيري عضو كميته انتقالي فدراسيون فوتبال گفت : تلاش اين كميته براي جذب يك مربي از اروپاي غربي براي سرمربيگري تيم ملي فوتبال ايران ادامه دارد،اما احتمال دارد كه اين سرمربي از آمريكاي جنوبي انتخاب شود.

دردو هفته*اخيرتلاش اين كميته براي بكارگيري مربيان خوب و سرشناس اروپاي غربي بوده ورايزني*ها و گفت و گوهايي با تعدادي از آنان انجام شده است و منتظر جواب قطعي آنان هستيم.

وي افزود: در حال حاضر با هيچ مربي از كشورهاي اروپاي شرقي صحبت نشده و مقرر گرديده است كه كميته انتقالي*اولويت بكارگيري سرمربي تيم ملي را به كشورهاي*اروپاي غربي اختصاص دهد، اما در صورت عدم توافق،با مربيان آمريكاي جنوبي از جمله آرژانتين و يا برزيل نيز صحبت خواهد شد.

خبيري بكارگيري مربيان داخلي را به عنوان سرمربي رد كرد و اظهار داشت:
اين نظر كه از مربيان داخلي براي سرمربيگري تيم ملي استفاده شود كاملا رد شده است و مربيان داخلي به عنوان دستيار دركنار سرمربي خارجي در خدمت تيم ملي خواهند بود.

عضو كميته انتقالي فدراسيون فوتبال گفت : تمامي همكاران ما هر روز در اين رابطه به صورت مستمر پيگير هستند و تمامي تلاش ما اين است كه ظرف يك هفته آينده وضعيت سرمربيگري تيم ملي را مشخص نماييم.

خبيري گفت:با توجه به*اينكه زمان آغاز رقابتهاي مقدماتي جام*جهاني نزديك است*بايد هرچه سريعتر وضعيت سرمربي تيم ملي كشورمان مشخص شود تا مربي مورد نظر بتواند برنامه*هاي خود را آغاز كند.

وي گفت:تاكنون باتني چند ازمربيان اروپاي غربي صحبت شده*است كه متاسفانه آنان يا قراردادشان تازه تمديد گرديده و يا اينكه ارتباط ما با آنها منجر به توافق نهايي نشد.

خبيري گفت: در صورت به توافق رسيدن با هرمربي اين خبر بصورت رسمي از رسانه*ها اعلام مي*شود و تمامي تلاش ما اين است كه بتوانيم يك مربي را به ايران بياوريم كه بتواند اهداف مورد نظر را براورده ساخته و در نهايت موفقيت را براي تيم ملي فوتبال كشورمان به ارمغان بياورد.

دكتر "حسن غفاري" چهارشنبه*شب در پايان نشست كميته انتقالي فدراسيون فوتبال افزود: در اين جلسه در مورد نامزدهاي سرمربي آينده تيم ملي فوتبال ايران بحث و تبادل نظر شد كه در نهايت يك نفر از فهرست خارج شد.

وي با بيان اينكه در ابتدا نام ۱۵مربي در فهرست كميته انتقالي فدراسيون فوتبال بود، اظهار داشت : اين تعداد در جلسه گذشته به ۳نام تقليل يافت و امروز نيز يك نفر ديگر از فهرست حذف شد.

غفاري با اشاره به اينكه مكاتبات با مربيان مدنظر كميته انتقالي آغاز شده است، افزود : در صورت توافق نهايي در زمينه*هاي مختلف (مسائل مالي، مدت قرارداد، محل اقامت، نوع پرداخت و ...)، نام سرمربي آينده تيم ملي فوتبال ايران معرفي خواهد شد.

عضو كميته انتقالي فدراسيون فوتبال با انتقاد از انتشار نام سرمربي تيم ملي فوتبال ايران از سوي برخي رسانه*ها گفت : تنها پنج عضو اين كميته نام نامزدهاي سرمربي آينده تيم ملي را مي*دانند و تاكنون هيچ نامي از سوي آنان در رسانه*ها منتشر نشده است.

غفاري نحوه برگزاري مجمع فدراسيون فوتبال را از ديگر موارد نشست امشب كميته انتقالي فدراسيون فوتبال اعلام كرد و گفت : مجمع فدراسيون فوتبال ساعت ۹صبح روز ۱۵آذرماه امسال برگزار خواهد شد.

تيم ملي فوتبال ايران كه خود را براي حضور در رقابتهاي مقدماتي جام جهاني ۲۰۱۰آفريقاي جنوبي آماده مي*كند، به مصاف كاستاريكا مي*رود.

تيم فوتبال كشورمان در يك ديدار دوستانه و تداركاتي روز چهارشنبه دهم بهمن ماه در ورزشگاه آزادي تهران با تيم ملي فوتبال كاستاريكا مسابقه مي*دهد.

تيم ايران جزو پنج سيد نخست آسياست كه به همراه تيم*هاي استراليا، ژاپن، كره جنوبي*و عربستان در قرعه كشي دور سوم مسابقات فوتبال مقدماتي جام جهاني ۲۰۱۰در قاره آسيا شركت مي*كند.

قرعه*كشي مسابقات اين دور روز ۲۵نوامبر ( ۴آذر) انجام مي*شود.

دراين قرعه كشي ۲۰تيم آسيايي به پنج گروه چهار تيمي تقسيم شده و در نهايت تيم*هاي اول و دوم هر گروه به دور بعد صعود خواهند كرد.

سرمربي تيم ملي فوتبال ايران و اسامي ۵۰بازيكن اين تيم قطعا تا نيمه دوم آذرماه اعلام مي*شود.

وي درباره حاشيه*مراسم قرعه كشي مسابقات فوتبال مقدماتي جام جهاني در آفريقاي جنوبي گفت: وضعيت افريقاي جنوبي از بابت هتل و رفت و آمد خوب بود و تنها بحث فني مطرح بود كه اين كشور بتواند ورزشگاههاي مورد نياز را تا شروع مسابقات آماده كند.

وي افزود:مامنتظر اعلام برنامه كامل مسابقات از سوي كنفدراسيون فوتبال آسيا هستيم تا برنامه ريزي*هاي لازم را انجام دهيم.

وي گفت:تيم ملي فوتبال بعد از تشكيل بلافاصله در كيش اردو خواهد زد تا خود را اماده شركت در مسابقات مقدماتي بكند.

وي تاكيد كرد كه تمام لژيونرها به جز جواد نكونام كه آسيب ديده است، به اردوي امادگي تيم ملي دعوت مي*شوند.

وي گفت:محسن صفايي فراهاني، محمد خبيري ، خديجه سپنجي وعباس ترابيان براي شركت در مراسم بهترين*هاي سال اسيا امروز راهي استراليا شدند. ضمن انكه قرار است وحيد شمسايي و نمايندگان باشگاه سپاهان نيز در اين مراسم شركت كنند.

وي درباره ادامه فعاليت خود در فدراسيون فوتبال گفت : من تمام تلاش خودم را براي انجام بهتر كارها مي*كنم و تا روزي كه در فدراسيون هستم اين تلاش*ها را ادامه خواهم داد.

وي گفت: به نظر من فدراسيون روند رو به رشدي داشته است و من در اين مدت از روساي كميته*ها، دست اندركاران فدراسيون و رسانه*ها كه مرا كمك كردند ، تشكر مي*كنم.

وي در پايان تاكيد كرد كه برايش پست مهم نيست و قصد خدمت به فوتبال را دارد و ادامه حضورش در فوتبال نيز بستگي به نظر رييس بعدي فدراسيون دارد .

تيم ملي فوتبال ايران پيش از شركت در مسابقات مقدماتي جام جهاني ۲۰۱۰ در قاره آسيا با تيم ملي تونس نيز ديدار مي*كند. بنابر اعلام فدراسيون فوتبال، اين ديدار روز ۲۶دي ماه جاري در تونس برگزار مي*شود. همچنين ديدار تيم ملي فوتبال ايران با تيم ملي مالي در روز ۲۳دي ماه جاري در كيش نيز قطعي شد. پيش ازاين ديدارها،تيم ملي ايران روز ۱۵دي ماه با هانزاروشتوك آلمان و ۱۹دي ماه با تيم ملي قطر در ورزشگاه آزادي ديدار خواهد كرد.

ديدارتيم ملي فوتبال ايران با كارستاريكا نيز روز ۱۰بهمن ماه برگزار مي*شود.

روزنامه "البيان" چاپ امارات نوشت: تيم ملي فوتبال تونس براي حضور پر قدرت در جام ملتهاي ۲۰۰۸آفريقا به دنبال انجام بازيهاي دوستانه با برخي از تيم*هاي جهان از جمله تيم ملي ايران است.

اين روزنامه روز دوشنبه نوشت: مسئولان تيم ملي تونس پس از لغو بازيهاي اين تيم با تيم*هاي مصر و مغرب در انديشه بازي دوستانه با تيم ملي فوتبال ايران هستند.

اين روزنامه نوشت: به احتمال زياد اين بازي روز ۱۶ژانويه*سال ۲۰۰۸برابر با ۲۶دي ماه سال جاري در تونس انجام خواهد شد.

لوتار ماتئوس در گفت*وگو با روزنامه*ي دي*ولت، گفت كه او هم اخباري در رابطه با پيشنهاد مربي*گري در ايران را شنيده است با اين حال هيچ تماسي به طور مستقيم با او گرفته نشده است.

به گزارش ايسنا، ماتئوس در اين گفت*وگو اظهار داشت: من اين خبر را شنيده*ام اما، تاكنون مطلب ديگري براي گفتن وجود ندارد، چرا كه هنوز هيچ تماس شخصي با من برقرار نشده است.

وي گفت: اساسا طبيعي است كه از اين گونه اخبار زياد به گوش من مي*رسد.

به نوشته*ي دي*ولت، ماتئوس آماده*ي انجام گفت*وگو به نظر مي*رسد.

ماتئوس ادامه داد: بر اين باورم كه حداكثر تا تابستان آينده بار ديگر روي نيمكت مربيگري تيمي خواهم نشست. اين*كه ترجيح بدهم در يك باشگاه يا يك تيم*ملي مشغول به كار شوم روشن نيست. در اين باره چيزي نمي*توانم بگويم چرا كه در فوتبال نمي*توان پيشاپيش هيچ چيزي را برنامه*ريزي كرد.

به گزارش خبرگزاري آلمان، در كنار ماتئوس، گزينه*ي آلماني ديگري هم مد نظر سران فدراسيون ايران براي هدايت تيم*ملي فوتبال ايران است.

به نوشته*ي اين خبرگزاري، كريستوف دام، يكي ديگر از گزينه*هاي مربيگري در ايران است.

به گزارش رسانه*ها، باشگاه كلن چند روز پيش درخواست فدراسيون فوتبال ايران را نپذيرفت. اين در حالي است كه دام مي*تواند تا سي*ام ژوئن قراردادش را با اين باشگاه دسته*ي دومي آلمان به صورت يك*طرفه لغو كند.


پيش از اين هم از وينسريد شفر و پتر نويرورر به عنوان ديگر گزينه*هاي آلماني مربيگري در ايران ياد مي*شد.


در آغاز ژانويه به نظر مي*آمد كه ميان فدراسيون فوتبال ايران و آرتور ژورژه از پرتغال توافق نهايي به دست آمده باشد.

علي* كفاشيان رييس جديد فدراسيون فوتبال ايران يك هفته پس از حضورش در اين فدراسيون، اعلام كرد،* ژورژه پيشرفت*هاي لازم براي مربي*گري در تيم ايران و رساندن آن به جام جهاني را ندارد.

دبيركل كميته ملي المپيك و رييس فدراسيون فوتبال ايران از دعوت تيم ملي فوتبال ايران به آمريكا خبر داد.

علي كفاشيان روز سه شنبه در گفت وگو با خبرنگار ايرناافزود : "دراگومير سيورسلان" نايب رئيس فدراسيون بين*المللي وزنه*برداري و رئيس بخش همكاري*هاي بين*المللي كميته*ملي*المپيك آمريكا كه براي تدريس دركلاس مربيگري وزنه*برداري درتهران بسرمي*برد،در ديدار صبح امروز سه*شنبه با وي اين دعوت را مطرح كرد.

وي گفت:"سيورسلان" دراين نشست ضمن اظهار خرسندي از حضور تيم ملي واترپلو ايران درمسابقات قهرماني جهان درآمريكا،خواستار برگزاري ديدارهاي دوستانه و اردوهاي مشترك با كشورمان در رشته*هاي مختلف ورزشي شد كه من نيز انجام اين سفرها و ديدارها را منوط به موافقت وزارت خارجه و سازمان تربيت بدني كردم.

وي ادامه داد:دراين جلسه سيورسلان تيم ملي فوتبال ايران را نيز به انجام ديداري دوستانه با تيم ملي آمريكا و يا يك تيم اين كشور در لس آنجلس دعوت كرد كه من شرط برگزاري اين مسابقه را موافقت مسوولان و بالاخص وزارت خارجه عنوان كردم.

كفاشيان گفت: حضور تيم*هاي ايراني در مسابقات قهرماني جهان كه در آمريكا برگزار مي*شود، طبق مقررات بين*المللي صورت مي*پذيرد، اما در مورد برگزاري مسابقات دوستانه واردوهاي تداركاتي در كشور آمريكا،نظر مسوولان با توجه به شرايط الزامي است.

وي افزود : همچنين مسوولان آمريكايي خواستار امضاي تفاهم نامه بودند كه امضاي اين تفاهم نامه نيز منوط به موافقت مسوولان اعلام شد.

وي گفت: زمان پيشنهادي براي سفرتيم ملي فوتبال ايران به*آمريكا ارديبهشت ماه سال آينده اعلام شده است.

Iran national side ‘Team Melli’ find themselves without a head coach again after the agreement with Spaniard Javier Clemente fell through only two weeks into his three year contract. Clemente visited Iran in early February and agreed terms and conditions of his contract, he was also happy with training facilities and resources he expected at Azadi Sports Complex in Tehran, the sticking point to resolve was the length of time Clemente was allowed to live in Spain while employed as Iran’s head coach.



Early indications suggested the matter would be resolved when Clemente returned to Spain to discuss his contractual obligations with his family and later signed and faxed his contract to the Iranian football federation (IRIFF). What happened next is less than certain, initial reports early this week suggested Clemente had quit his job as he did not wish to spend much time in Iran and would monitor Iranian players by watching Persian Gulf League matches on tape or using Iranian satellite channels, Clemente would go to Iran for Team Melli training camps and matches.



It is odd to say the least that the contract was signed and then terminated in this manner. Iran’s Physical Education Organisation (PEO) headed by Iran’s vice-president Mr Aliabadi insisted that Team Melli did not need a flying coach but needs one that would live in Iran, reports from Iran suggest that PEO added new conditions to Clemente reducing the time he would be allowed to live away from Iran, the new conditions were turned down by Clemente and subsequently IRIFF announced they were in search of a new head coach.



There is no doubt that a head coach ought to have sufficient face to face contact with league players and watch league matches closely across Iran, a foreign coach would need to familiarise himself with Iran’s culture and mentality of Iranian players. Both Clemente and IRIFF would have been aware of this point before the contract was signed, all terms and conditions should have been included in the initial contract, the slight amendment by PEO to Clemente’s contract suggests internal wrangling between PEO and IRIFF if not within the federation.






PEO head Mr Aliabadi has been less than helpful in hiring a foreign coach; numerous European coaches were mentioned but dropped one by one before Clemente was finally signed. With Iran playing Kuwait in their second world cup 2010 qualifier on March 26th it appears that an Iranian coach will have to be appointed as Team Melli head coach. Some of the names mentioned are Afshin Ghotbi, Ali Daei, Bijan Zolfagharnasab and the one that concerns many experts Amir Ghalenoei who so badly mismanaged Team Melli in the run-up and throughout Asian Cup 2007 finals.



Iran’s world cup campaign looks in tatters, under the circumstances Afshin Ghotbi of Persepolis FC seems the best qualified candidate, Ghotbi has experience of three world cup finals under his belt as one of South Korea coaches in world cups 98, 2002 and 2006. I would also favour Bijan Zolfagharnasab (ZobAhan FC) and Mijid Jalali (Esteghlal Ahvaz FC). In the case of Daei he is simply not ready for Team Melli challenge, Daei should concentrate on the job in hand at Saipa FC especially with Saipa representing Iran in Asian Champions League this season where he could earn valuable coaching experience at International level. Rehiring Amir Ghalenoei would be a suicidal move taking into account the damage he inflicted on Team Melli in the year he was in charge.

Team Melli and Bundesliga veteran striker Ali Daei has been appointed as Iran’s national side head coach ending months of speculation and s***mishes between Iran football federation (IRIFF) and Physical Education Organisation (PEO). After the recent departure of Javier Clemente, with Iran’s world cup qualifier against Kuwait approaching fast Iran were left with little choice but to opt for a local coach.



Afshin Ghotbi and Amir Ghalenoei appeared to be the front-runners with IRIFF favouring Ghotbi and PEO favouring Ghalenoei. Technically speaking IRIFF should have the authority to hire the head coach for the national side however in Iran such appointment will need to be signed off by the president of PEO Mr Aliabadi. This indeed is a breach of FIFA regulations, PEO is a Government entity headed by Iran’s vice-president Mr Aliabadi, any Government interference in the appointment of the head coach is a violation of Article 17 of the FIFA Statutes and could lead to suspension of IRIFF from International activity which would mean a ban on Team Melli and Iranian clubs from competitions such as the world cup or Asian Champions League.



Daei’s appointment on March 2nd came as a surprise in many ways, whilst Daei’s credential and achievements as a player which included playing in Germany’s Bundesliga for five seasons and becoming the first Iranian to score in UEFA Champions League is beyond any doubt he has limited experience in coaching, Daei’s sole coaching experience is with Saipa FC of Karaj in the last 18 months, however, Saipa under Daei as player coach won Iran’s Persian Gulf League last season. When Daei announced his retirement from playing football at the end of last season there was no doubt on anyone’s mind that one day he would coach the national team, but I for one did not expect this to happen so soon. As highlighted in my last article I would have preferred Daei to gain experience of coaching at International level with Saipa in Asian Champions League this season before considering the Team Melli role.



Daei who will turn 39 later this month (March 21st) is now the youngest Team Melli head coach ever. On the plus side Daei had more experience of playing the game and he played his football at a higher level (Bundesliga) than the other candidates, however the other candidates had more coaching experience. Daei the veteran of two world cup finals (1998 & 2006) has a proven record of leadership and is an influential football personality, his presence in the team as a player was a confidence booster, indeed Iran became so reliant on Daei spearheading attacks that they are still having difficulty scoring 19 months after Daei’s departure from the national side, Iran have failed to score in their last 5 matches and that is one of the problems Daei will have to address.






Daei might not have been my first choice for Team Melli head coach job at this point mainly due to his lack of coaching experience at International level, however, Daei proved his ability and potential to coach and to lift the team at Saipa last season when their German coach Lorrent left the club abruptly. Daei’s determination, professionalism and strong personality would have been factors in his appointment; he also has vast experience of dealing with Arab opponents (Iran face 3 Arab teams in their Group 5 qualifiers) as well as East Asian teams. Whilst I believe Afshin Ghotbi’s coaching experience at world cup level with South Korea made him a better candidate for the job I am relieved that Amir Ghalenoei was not re-instated as Team Melli head coach, Ghalenoei’s appointment would simply have been the result of internal power-struggle between IRIFF and PEO, Ghalenoei’s Team Melli track record certainly did not justify his recent candidacy for the job. We wish Daei all the best in his endeavour of taking Iran to world cup 2010 finals in South Africa.

نیم فصل اول هفتمین دوره لیگ برتر فوتبال ایران، با یک آمار تامل* برانگیز از برکناری و جابجایی مربیان به پایان رسید. از ۱۶ تیم حاضر در لیگ، ۷ تیم در جریان نیم فصل اول مربیان خود را تغییر دادند، تا بار دیگر یکی از مشکلات بزرگ فوتبال ایران نمایان شود.
مجید جهانپور در پگاه گیلان، زوران جورجوویچ در ذوب آهن اصفهان، خداداد عزیزی در ابومسلم خراسان، میودراگ یشیچ در شیرین فراز کرمانشاه، ناصر حجازی در استقلال تهران، فیروز کریمی در استقلال اهواز و فرهاد کاظمی در مس کرمان، هر یک بنا به دلایلی جای خود را به مربی دیگری دادند.

برکناری زودهنگام مربیان مساله تازه*ای در فوتبال ایران نیست، اما با گذشت هفت دوره از لیگ حرفه*ای، هفت اخراج در عرض تنها یک نیم فصل، نشان*دهنده فاصله باشگاه*های ایرانی با مدیریت علمی در ورزش است.

در شش دوره ابتدایی لیگ برتر ایران، در مجموع ۴۸ بار مربیان تیم*ها تغییر کردند که یک آمار قابل توجه است. حتی از شش مربی**ای که در این شش فصل به قهرمانی رسیدند، سه مربی در اواسط فصل بعدی برکنار شدند.

پیروانی؛ مردی برای تمام فصول



طبق بررسی*های اخیر کانون مربیان ایران، متوسط عمر مربیگری در لیگ برتر، تنها ۲۲ هفته است. این مدت زمان برای مربیان خارجی حتی از این هم کوتاه*تر بوده و به ۱۸ هفته می رسد



غلامحسین پیروانی تنها مربی است که طی این دوران فقط در یک باشگاه کار کرده است. او پیش از آغاز لیگ برتر فوتبال ایران تا کنون، هدایت تیم فجر سپاسی شیراز را که در این فصل به مقاومت سپاسی تغییر نام داده، بر عهده داشته است.

البته این مورد را باید با توجه به شرایط خاص این باشگاه شیرازی با محدودیت*های مالی*اش و مهارت آقای پیروانی در پرورش بازیکنان جوان، یک استثنا دانست. پس از او رسول کربکندی طولانی*ترین دوره مربیگری را در لیگ برتر داشته است. او پیش از اینکه در پایان فصل گذشته از ذوب آهن اصفهان جدا شود، به مدت چهار فصل و نیم سرمربی این تیم بود.

در واقع حضور بلندمدت روی نیمکت یک تیم، همچون الکس فرگوسن که بیش از بیست سال است هدایت تیم منچستر یونایتد را بر عهده دارد، یا آرسن ونگر که در یازده سال اخیر سرمربی آرسنال بوده است، در ایران بسیار دور از ذهن می*نماید.

در فوتبال ایران مدیران که خود نیز در اغلب موارد عمر بسیار کوتاهی دارند، اهمیتی برای برنامه*ریزی بلندمدت قائل نیستند و در کوتاه*مدت از مربی خود نتیجه می*خواهند. معیار ارزیابی عملکرد مدیران بیشتر نتایج ورزشی تیم*ها هستند تا انجام کارهای زیربنایی مثل ساخت استادیوم یا یک زمین تمرین استاندارد و یا مدیریت علمی منابع درآمدی.

شاید بتوان گفت که اولین پیامد چنین رویکردی در مدیریت، این است که از مربیان نیز در کوتاه**مدت انتظار نتیجه*گیری وجود داشته باشد.


همواره مربیانی آمده*اند و در کوتاه*مدت به طور مقطعی نتیجه گرفته*اند و پس از آن رفته*اند، بدون اینکه اثری در بلندمدت از خود به جا بگذارند. در حالیکه رشد و توسعه، یک فرآیند مستمر و تدریجی است و نیاز به مدیریت استراتژیک و برنامه*ریزی بلندمدت یکپارچه دارد



طبق بررسی*های اخیر کانون مربیان ایران، متوسط عمر مربیگری در لیگ برتر، تنها ۲۲ هفته است. این مدت زمان برای مربیان خارجی حتی از این هم کوتاه*تر بوده است و تنها به ۱۸ هفته می*رسد.

در چنین مدت کوتاهی، نتیجه گرفتن به بسیاری از عوامل بیرونی بستگی پیدا می*کند و تا اندازه قابل توجی از کنترل یک مربی خارج است. هر مربی برای اجرای برنامه*ها و عملی کردن ایده*هایش، به زمان بیشتری نیاز دارد و در عرض چند ماه قادر نخواهد بود که برنامه*ریزی و طرح*های خود را به ثمر برساند.

فوتبال ایران همواره از این نگاه کوتاه*مدت و تصمیم*گیری شتابزده بر اساس روندهای جاری رنج برده و ضربه خورده است. همواره مربیانی آمده*اند و در کوتاه*مدت به طور مقطعی نتیجه گرفته*اند و پس از آن رفته*اند، بدون اینکه اثری در بلندمدت از خود به جا بگذارند. در حالیکه رشد و توسعه، یک فرآیند مستمر و تدریجی است و نیاز به مدیریت استراتژیک و برنامه*ریزی بلندمدت یکپارچه دارد.

مادامی که این رویکرد مدیریتی در باشگاه*های فوتبال ایران تغییر نکند، مربیان نیز همچنان عمر کوتاهی خواهند داشت و مدام جابجا خواهند شد.

Iran had yet another disappointing draw in their world cup 2010 qualifiers this time against UAE, but what was so surprising about that? For me the writing was on the wall. Iran on 3 points out of three matches currently sit third in Group 5 two points behind joint leaders UAE and Syria having to play them both away.



I still recall many fans and media heavily criticising Branko Ivankovic and calling for his dismissal prior to world cup 2006, I raised the question of what the better alternative was at the time but the question went unanswered while the attacks on Branko continued. A campaign of pressurising Branko until he failed was tactfully implemented by elements inside the Iranian football structure. Anyone who supported Branko was labelled KHAREJIPARAST (loving foreigners) and insulted publicly, even football forums on the Net were used by IRIFF insiders in the propaganda campaign.



Ivankovic was finally gone by the end of June 2006 and that’s where the decline in Iran football started. Team Melli’s poor performance in WC2006 finals was a consequence of bitter infighting between Iran’s football federation (IRIFF) headed by Mr Dadkan and the Physical Education Organisation (PEO) headed by Iran’s vice-president Mr Aliabadi, months of mismanagement and lack of preparation meant Iran’s strongest squad ever performed way below power in WC2006.



A new era in Iranian football was promised by the PEO and Mr Mostafavi and Hashemi were to see to its implementation, they in turn appointed an Iranian coach Amir Ghalenoei; the home grown coach in turn hired inexperienced and incompetent assistants for himself (one of whom called himself Iran’s Zagalo!) and blamed Iran’s problems on the departing Croat coach. The destruction of Team Melli and the dismantling of what Blazevic and Ivankovic had built in the 5 years they were in charge was tactfully completed in the year Ghalenoei was in charge, Iran’s dismal performance followed in Asian Cup finals in July 2007 where the most experienced Iran team were dumped out of the cup by South Korea’s B side, incidentally Afshin Ghotbi who went on to coach Persepolis this season was one of South Korea’s coaches.



Next followed 7 months of having no coach and no Team Melli, several foreign coaches were promised but none materialised except the Spaniard Clemente. There was infighting between IRIFF and PEO over whether Iran should hire a foreign coach, it came as no surprise to me when Clemente pulled out of his newly signed contract with IRIFF only days after signing it, an amendment by PEO to the original contract signed by Clemente was enough to see Clemente resign, reasons given were the length of Clemente’s residence in Iran, but I have learnt not to take for granted what comes out of PEO or IRIFF.



Afshin Ghotbi was named the head coach of Team Melli but in the most bizarre circumstance as Ghotbi was heading to sign his contract Ali Daei was announced as Team Melli head coach, this was further evidence of infighting in the Iranian football system, with the foreign Clemete forced out they could not even agree on which Iranian to appoint as head coach, my first choice was Afshin Ghotbi due to his vast and superior coaching experience compared with any other Iranian coach.






Ali Daei was not a bad choice for the job considering the alternatives such as Ghalenoei who was strangely one of the candidates, but Daei lacked coaching experience at this level. By the time Daei took over Iran had already dropped points at home against Syria in their world cup qualifier. Since the arrival of Daei Iran have drawn against the weakest side in Group 5 Kuwait and group leaders UAE in Tehran on June 2nd.



Primarily Team Melli’s desperate situation in WC2010 qualifiers is the consequence of incompetent and corrupt management in the football structure in Iran from top to bottom. Amir Ghalenoei wasted one year in which he should have built a new team for Iran, but instead he used Branko’s team to get results in trivial matches that should have been used to discover new talents, such immaterial wins were used by the Mafia in IRIFF to justify Ghalenoei’s appointment (not a foreign) as Team Melli head coach while in reality Team Melli was going backward, and today Iran are paying the price for it.



There is only so much Daei can do to save the day for Team Melli but his lack of experience at this level is not helping matters. I find some of Daei’s team selection puzzling, in the game against UAE this season’s top scorer Khalili and another one of the influential players at Persepolis Nikbakht-Vahedi were both on the substitute bench while Reza Enayati who has been a proven failure started the match upfront for Iran. Despite immense media and public pressure Branko Ivankovic did not use Enayati in his Team Melli, Ghalenoei and now Daei have both learnt the hard way why Ivankovic would not use Enayati, he had another poor game against UAE and was ineffective, Khalili replaced Enayati in the second half, the arrival of Nikbakht also made an impact on the game in favour of Iran, it was good to see Kaebi in the starting line-up, Kaebi was an effective player for Iran but he was left out of the game against Kuwait in March and that was another poor judgement by Daei. Fereydoon Zandi is an asset for Iran on the left flank, he was not used against UAE and should be considered for the return leg against UAE.



Iran face UAE in the return leg of their WC2010 qualifier on Saturday June 7th, Iran cannot afford to lose this match, even a draw would leave Iran in an inferior position and still behind Syria and UAE, Daei has no choice but to go for a win, there is no time for poor team selection and tactical mistakes, Daei must now learn from his Kuwait and UAE games and defeat UAE, for the record UAE have never beaten Iran in an official match. We wish Daei and Team Melli all the best against UAE on June 7th.

Team Melli proved what they were capable of with a 1-0 away win over UAE that took them to the top of Group 5 world cup qualifiers, this match also showed Daei acknowledges his mistakes and tries to take corrective action.



Iran were aware that defeat to UAE would almost certainly mean elimination from world cup qualifiers, having drawn with UAE in Tehran earlier there was immense pressure on Iran to beat UAE on their soil. The question was what players and what formation Daei would use, Iran’s poor results against Kuwait and UAE (1st leg) were partly due to Daei’s poor choice of players.



Ando Teymourian was suspended from this match, with Iran in need of a win Daei used a 4-4-2 formation dropping Enayati and starting with Persian Gulf League (PGL) top scorer Khalili in attack, in my last article I stated Zandi was an asset to Iran and should be used against UAE, I was delighted to see Zandi starting the match, it was also good to see Kaebi in right back position, clearly Daei had recognised his poor choice of players in his two official matches in charge hence the improved starting line-up. My immediate concern was Husseini in the back next to Aghili, this has proven to be a weak partnership, I would definitely start Iran’s next match against Syria with Sepahan duo Aghili and Bengar in full-back position. Rahmati has done well in goal.



Exactly one year ago Iran discovered the hidden talents of Masoud Shojaee in an warm-up match prior to Asian Cup 2007 finals, sadly the former Team Melli head coach Amir Ghalenoei did not use Shojaee in last year’s Asian Cup fianls. Daei has used Shojaee in Iran’s last two matches and this decision has paid dividend, Shojaee was the danger man for Iran, he is a playmaker and has a great vision, it was Shojaee’s fantastic and well-timed pass that put Zandi in a scoring position early in the match, Zandi timed his run perfectly beating the off-side line and chipping the ball over the surging UAE keeper, this was a fantastic goal and showed Zandi’s skills and class.






I did not see much of Khatibi in the first half, this was partly due to the lack of support he received and partly because he was closely marked, Khatibi is yet to show his league form in the national side, he was replaced in the second half by Nikbakht Vahedi, I would use Nikbakht in the starting lineup against Syria this Saturday. Neither Husseini in full back nor Sadeghi in half back were convincing for me, Nekunam played a crucial role in half back and assisted the full backs several times making vital interceptions, Rezaei was lively upfront, he has pace and runs at defenders.



This was an improved side but there is room for improvement, I would like to see more of Maydavoudi and Jabbari in Iran’s forthcoming match against Syria, Hajsafi has a bright future, it was good to see Hajsafi used in the second leg of the match against UAE considering his early substitution in the first leg of the tie, Hajsafi replaced a tired Zandi in the second half and brought much needed pace to the left flank.



All in all I am quite optimistic for Iran’s next world cup qualifier against Syria this Saturday June 14th, Iran’s win over UAE coupled with Syria’s defeat to Kuwait has put Iran 1 point clear at the top of the table, a win over Syria would qualify Iran to final round qualifiers with a game in hand. Syria has only ever beaten Iran once and ironically that was in Tehran and not on Syrian soil, the last time Iran played Syria in Damascus Iran won 2-0. We wish Team Melli all the best in their world cup qualifier against Syria on June 14th.

رئيس فدراسيون فوتبال اعلام كرد: با على دايى سرمربى تيم ملى فوتبال ايران به صورت رسمى قرارداد ۳ ساله امضا كرديم. على كفاشيان افزود: اين قرارداد به صورت توافقى است و هر ساله با توافق طرفين تمديد مى شود. وى به ميزان مبلغ قرارداد اشاره اى نكرد و افزود: پس از مدتها توانستيم قرارداد را منعقد كنيم اما اعلام مبلغ آن به عهده سرمربى تيم ملى است. وى از ما درخواست كرده كه ميزان مبلغ قرارداد را اعلام نكنيم. وى در خصوص حضور ميدن دروپ به عنوان مربى در تيم ملى فوتبال اظهارداشت: سرمربى تيم ملى خودش در حال مذاكره با دروپ است و هر تصميمى وى بگيرد مورد قبول فدراسيون است. كفاشيان بيان داشت: فردى كه در تيم ملى فوتبال ايران به عنوان سرمربى فعاليت مى كند بايد اختيار تام در انتخاب دستيارانش داشته باشد. وى در خصوص كمبود بودجه فدراسيون خاطرنشان كرد: هم اكنون و با توجه به روند رو به رشد تيم ملى فوتبال ايران شرايط بهتر مى شود.
