      • Lindsay Lohan Is In Alcoholics Anonymous

Lindsay Lohan has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, her rep tells PEOPLE.

"Yes, she's been attending some meetings, and it's going to be a slow process," says her publicist, Leslie Sloane. "This is a positive. Let's hope that the press doesn't turn it into a negative."

Sloane says she's asking the media not to intrude on the meetings or follow Lohan, 20, to and from the gatherings.

"Maybe if (the press) backs off on her she'll be in a good space," Sloane added. "Let's see if we don't have to hear about it every day, and they're following her and trying to find her. Because that will just really not be good."

Earlier this week, the New York Post's Page Six column reported that Lohan was spotted at an AA meeting in Los Angeles. On Friday, E!'s Ryan Seacrest asked Lohan's mother, Dina, if Lohan was in AA. Dina replied, "That is true. ... It's a positive thing."

            • Jesse James: Giving Jobs to the Homeless

Monster Garage host Jesse James has found a new passion: Helping homeless people by offering them jobs at his Long Beach, Calif., motorcycle shop West Coast Choppers.

"Long Beach has a homeless problem," he tells PEOPLE. "I felt the need to step up and help because it wasn't going to magically disappear."

James, 37, who is married to actress Sandra Bullock, decided to reach out to the homeless community last year when Project Achieve, an overnight emergency shelter, opened up across the street from his shop.

The first person he hired was Richard Sihock, a former warehouse worker who had been homeless for almost a year. Sihock is now making $8.50 an hour with the prospect of a raise, and is living in a one-bedroom apartment with his wife.

James is already looking into hiring more people from the shelter. "Not everyone has been as lucky as I have," he says, "and it's time for me to use the success I have been blessed with to help others in Long Beach."

The city's Vice Mayor Bonnie Lowenthal, who has known James for years, told PEOPLE earlier this year about James's generous spirit. "He sees the potential in people and works to give them the same opportunities he's had."

James started his custom-motorcycle business when he was 23 years old. Bullock, 42, shares her husband's passion for charity work, having written million-dollar checks to tsunami and Katrina relief efforts.

              • Jessica Simpson, Luke Wilson Hit Louisiana Hotspot

Jessica Simpson and Luke Wilson, who are costarring in Blonde Ambition being shot in Shreveport, La., were spotted checking out a local hot spot on Thursday night, sources tell PEOPLE.

The pals arrived at the upscale club Phoenix Underground so early that there were more employees there than patrons, according to a source at the club.

"Luke was there the night before, and he wanted to show the place to Jessica," the source says. "She was very friendly to everyone."

Phoenix Underground is a 14,000 square-foot club that was once a bank; it's dance floor used to be the bank's vault. Wilson spent about four hours there on Wednesday evening, according to the source.

At the club, Jessica posed for pictures and chatted with people for about a half hour before leaving with her costar. Their movie, Blonde Ambition, has been described as a remake of the 1980s movie, Working Girl.

                • Paris Hilton Backs Out of Billboards Over Jokes

Paris Hilton has backed out of a scheduled appearance at Monday's Billboard Music Awards because she wasn't happy with the jokes written for her, according to her rep Elliot Mintz.

"It is my understanding that some satirical references ridiculed some of her peers," Mintz, said in a statement on Saturday, according to the Associated Press. "Paris did not want to say anything that could appear hurtful or embarrassing about people she knows."

A script delivered to Hilton on Friday contained material she found "objectionable," according to Mintz. After failing to come to a compromise with the reps for the award show, the heiress decided to back out.

A call to Billboard by the AP was not returned early Saturday.

The Billboard Music Awards are scheduled to air live from Las Vegas on Monday. It's being broadcast on FOX at 8 p.m. ET.

                  • Project Runway's Laura Bennett Has a Boy

Architect-turned-designer Laura Bennett, a finalist on the third season of Project Runway, has welcomed her sixth child, a boy, she tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Her son Finn was born at 10:46 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, and weighed in at 8 lbs. Bennett says her newest child is "so cute" and that she is feeling fine.

Already a mom to four sons and a daughter (daughter Cleo, 18, from a previous marriage and sons Peik, 10, Truman, 7, Pierson, 4, and Larson, 3), Bennett, 43, discovered she was pregnant while filming the Bravo reality competition.

She didn't fuss about not having maternity clothes with her: "I'd wear these stretchy T-shirt dresses," she told PEOPLE in September.

After the Project Runway finale in October, Bennett awaited her baby's arrival at home in Manhattan with her husband, Peter Shelton, 55, who runs a design firm.

"Poor guy, he was the last to know," Bennett, a New Orleans native, told PEOPLE. "(Michael Kors's mother) Joan knew, but my husband didn't!"

In other Project Runway baby news, Heidi Klum also recently welcomed a son. And judge Nina Garcia is expecting her first child in March.

"At this stage in (Keith's) treatment patients are occasionally allowed to leave for short periods of time," his rep says. "Keith is not out of rehab and is not back home in Nashville."

                          • Tracey Edmonds: I'm Dating Eddie Murphy

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds, a film producer and the ex-wife of singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, are dating, she tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The couple have been seeing each other "for about a month and a half," Edmonds said at the New York premiere of Dreamgirls, which she attended with Murphy on Monday.

When asked if she was happy she smiled and said, "Yes, very happy. We're having fun."

Previously, Murphy had been seeing former Spice Girl, Melanie Brown. A rep for the comedian said, "We do not comment on Mr. Murphy's personal life."
