That Qazvin joke aside....

Iman is correct. Gay people have been around since recorded history. During the roman times homosexuality was widely accepted. Many of human histories most famous artists and conquerours have been gay. The stigma of homosexuality has grown over time.

The reason you hear more about gay people today is that these stigmas are finally being broken. 100 years ago, being gay was basically a death sentence. If not death, then total banishment from society. So if a person was gay, they would dare not mention it. They would live their lives miserable and try to fit into "society" the best that they could. They would even marry and have childern, but would most certainly live double lives.

Once again you fail to realize that being gay is not something that someone chooses. It is how a person is born, I can no more become striaght, that you can become gay. Well, I'm sure I can pretend to be straight...but I wouldn't be happy. And neither would you If I were to force you to be gay. Think about it. It really isn't rocket science. If you think about it logically instead of just going with emotions and what you have been taught to think....it really is obvious.

Going back to the Qazvin thing, you know...there is a truth to that. Just like San Francisco has a high gay population, so does or did...Qazvin.

You know, all I can ask is for people to not judge others just because they are different than they are. There are so many problems in the world today...hunger, war, disease...why do we care so much about who people want to be with?

Thank you Shirazi Girl. It's not really about knowing my stuff...it's just common sense. You don't have to like the fact that I'm gay. All I ask is to no be judged on the fact that I am gay. Me being gay is so little part who I am....
