Wow....I don't check this place for a few hours and look at the discussion!

Ok lets see....Musalmon, You know...there is no way anyone can say anything at all to you that would ever change your mind. You have a belief system and a way that you have decided to live your life. I will be the first to say that I respect that. But I do have to say that a true muslim would never spew hate. If you are true to your religion, you must be a devout muslim %110. That is the only issue that I have with someone such as yourself. If you are going to use religion as the basis of your argument, then you yourself must follow that religion all the way. To pick and choose what you want to do is basically being a hypocryte. So you are basically telling me that you have NEVER done anything against the Quran? If so, then you are a truly devout person. I don't know of any person like that.

As far as your comments about Iran and Islam go. As you can see all of us here totally disagree with what you say. There has been NOTHING positive garnered by the introduction of Islam into Iran. Iran was better off without Islam. But again, that is my opinion and I do respect yours even if I do disagree with it. I'm not even going to bother with your dog comment since I answered that a few posts ago. Oh I do have one question to ask you...what are you doing on a site like Tapesh?? Every thing that they do here should be completely against what you beleive in! They advertise music, movies and things that a devout muslim such as yourself should not even be here!! What's the deal with that?

Saba_S, I really don't know what kind of interaction you have had with gays and lesbians. If a few lesbian women hit on you or wanted to be with you, I would understand how that could freak you out...especially if you are really against that. But trust me, most gays and lesbians are not like that. I still don't understand what exactly I am saying that is CHERT. Every point that I have made has been polite and based on fact. Now if you have a specific thought in your mind about things, I guess there really is no way I can change that. I am not here with any kind of agenda. Honestly, if you want to hate gay people go right ahead. It won't make your life any better. Hating people just because they are different than you are is a very inhuman thing. The things you say about me and other gay people is what I am upset about. If you don't like or agree with how I live my life that is one thing, but you have no right to put me down and tell me that I am any less of a person than you or anybody else.

I actually did go back & read what I had quoted & realized that I had made a mistake in the 1st quote chon mikhastam az ounjaee shoroo konam ke mige " And Iran only became an islamic nation... " vali yadam raft edit konam ghabl az in ke post konam.
Oumadam alan editesh konam but then I was like there's no need for me to do so because it's not like I disagree w/ the rest of it. I never said I find that gays should be tortured or killed. So I left it like that.

I came here to see what other, more modern Iranians think of issues such as homosexuality, and so far I'm very disappointed . What do you mean that Islam hasn't brought anything positive That is just not possible. No matter when your hungry a proper meal will fill you up, no matter where they are applied the rules of Islam will be supreme. But of course you just can't accept that being gay is wrong so you deny it, very typical. Anytime when Islam failes, it is not Islam, it is people misusing it to their own benifit. I will admit the current regime in Iran has occasionally had people who misuse Islam, like a FEW bad mullahs who steal some wealth instead of distributing it. But it is a lot better than the Shah's time. Do you honestly think that the Shah did not steal and kill? He was a very corrupt and self-conceited man. And don't listen to all of ProudPersian's old-time jibberish. It's nothing, all those stories of Cyrus or Darius are fake or fabricated. They were definately corrupted and backward. And I don't chronically hate gay-people. But in Islam it does allow one to try to purify a society. Gay people slow down a society's progress and damage it. ProudPersian, if Iran is not a muslim nation, then why, by Allah, is 99.9% of the population muslim and anti-gay. The people on this site are mostly half-Iranian or Iranians living in other countries. They've lost their ancient roots and have given in to the sub-cultures of sex, drugs, gays, and quick money; common in immoralized western nations. Islam has stopped these acts from taking root in Iran.

It is true many Iranians do not know of their ancient roots and it is not Islam True the Shah may have been corrupted, but not like the regime today. There are more than a few bad mullahs out there. But during the Hakhamanish dynasty was Iran's sole strong period. There may have been some corruption but the country at least had some direction. This is when all the Aryan tribes and villages were united into one group, the Iranians. Some of the principles they enacted on were more advanced than today's "good" regimes anywhere in the world. They certainly would not have talked about gays the way you do. Oh and for your information drugs, sex, money are problems everywhere. If Islam has protected Iran so well why is there so much opium trade and other stuff? Why is the country largely impoverished? And as sex goes, I think it has taken root everywhere, it's part of being human. Money is also an issue everywhere. In the west there are some strong sub-cultures based around these commodities but this is due to the incompetency of certain aspects of their society. And let me tell you the problem is not gays. Gays only seem like a problem to you because you choose to view it that way.

Musalmon, if there are only a FEW corrupt mullahs in Iran as you say..then why is it that over 80% of the population HATES them all?? Why is it that they would rather have the Shah back, who was not a good ruler by any means? Think about how bad this people have to be that the population would rather have their old dictator back!!!

Why are you so interested in homosexuality? Honestly I was quite surprised to even find a discussion about homosexuality on this site. Tapesh is not a gay oriented site, but an entertainment site. So you answer about coming here to see what others think about homosexuality is not acceptable. I never understand why people feel the need to lie. There is nothing wrong with bieng who you are. I've realized that it isn't God who is going to punish us or look down on us...it is ourselves and our ignorant and selfdistructive rules that limit who we are and where we can go. Instead of going around preaching to others what they should do and who they should be, why don't you do some good in this world. Unless you are %100 pure of heart and have never done anything wrong, you have no room to say anything about anyone.

If anyone slows down human society, it is people like yourself and others here with their backwards and norrow minded ideas. All of you have this unhealthy and ignorant behavior towards gay people. People who have done nothing to you and just want to live their lives just like everyone else. Musalmon, no...I never suggested that you are gay. I think you are reading into things way to much. All that I am saying is that if you are such a devout and great muslim, then you should follow your religion 100%. This means that a site such as this should be something you should never go on. Everyone on this site would be "kafar" according to you and the people that you are glorifying. That is all. If you are so interested in homosexuality in Iranian culture past or present, then go do some REAL research in other places and you will see what it was like. You are not going to find anything here. I never suggested you were gay..so take it easy. If you were comfortable with who you are in your own skin, such a suggestion like that would not bother you in the first place.

I never said I am Innocent. I would never say that. I know I have faults, just like everyone else. But I do know that being gay is not one of them. I personally have no deep religious crisis. I believe in God. I am a good person. I help others and wish no one harm. I don't need you or anyone to tell me how religious I should be. It's funny...has anyone ever noticed that the people who yell from the rooftops how religious they are..are the same one with the most secrets and messed up lives. There are plenty of good, decent, honest religious people that go about their lives and feel no need to go and preach to others how they should be. Those people are the REAL devout religous people...not the ones that feel that they need to impose their beliefs on others.
