Volvo Wins At Auto Express Used Car Honours 2006

Volvo XC90 - Winner‘4x4 Off Roader’ Class
Volvo S60 - Commended ‘Compact Executive’ Class
Volvo V70 - Commended‘Estate’ Class
Auto Express magazine’s ‘Used Car Honours 2006’ has voted the Volvo XC90 as winner of its ‘4x4 Off-Roader’ class and also commended two other Volvo models, the Volvo S60 saloon and V70 estate, in its ‘Compact Executive Car’ and ‘Estate’ classes.

Describing the design and popularity of the Volvo XC90, which had previously been the magazine’s Car of the Year in its New Car Honours in 2003, Auto Express magazine commented that it was, “…one of the most stylish and desirable cars on the road,” and, “…residual values are strong making it an excellent used buy - if you look after your XC90 you won 't struggle to sell it”.

For the ‘Compact Executive Car’ category, Ross Pinnock, Used Car Editor at Auto Express magazine commended the Volvo S60, saying: “The S60 offers great value for money. High standard equipment levels and a hugely comfortable cabin combine with traditional Volvo reliability to make it a tempting used buy.”

Meanwhile, after nine years of victory in the Auto Express Used Car Honours, the Volvo V70 still achieved a commendation in the ‘Estate’ category. “A spacious and classy interior, huge load bay and comprehensive engine line-up make it as practical as ever,” said Ross Pinnock.

Collecting the award for the XC90, Anne Woodward, manager of the Volvo Selected Used Car Programme said: “This award will help make the XC90 as popular as a used car as it has been as a new one, and as a result, Volvo dealers and the Volvo Selected Used Cars¹ website will probably be extra busy with customers looking to confidently buy an XC90, S60 or V70 that has been thoroughly checked, prepared to a high standard and sold with a full Volvo Selected Used Car warranty.”

Award for Audi Side Assist: "Sensible Choice of Car" 2006

Audi has won the “Innovation of the Future” special award from Germany’s biggest consumer magazine “Guter Rat”. The editorial jury thus paid tribute to the new radar-assisted driver assistance system Audi side assist which monitors the blind spot. Dr. Willibert Schleuter, Head of Electrics/Electronics Development at AUDI AG, took receipt of the award in Berlin.

Audi side assist aids the driver when changing lane. The radar system monitors the areas in the blind spot as well as fast-approaching vehicles at a range of about 50 metres to the rear of the car. If Audi side assist identifies another vehicle, it informs the driver via an LED light in the exterior mirror. The system gives a warning by emitting a flashing signal via the LED if the driver has activated the turn indicator in preparation for changing lane, but has overlooked another vehicle in the adjacent lane.

The new driver assistance system supports the driver's skills without absolving him of responsibility, and therefore provides a substantial gain in convenience and safety. At Audi, the focus is always on the benefit for the driver. Audi side assist was therefore developed with constant reference to the expectations of different drivers. Behavioural studies and analyses of real accidents formed the basis for the development of the system.

Audi side assist is being introduced for the first time on the Audi Q7. The performance SUV has been on the market since 10 March, with over 15,000 orders having already been received in Europe alone. Audi side assist is available at a price of 550 euros. And even at this early stage, every fourth Audi Q7 customer is choosing this system as an option.

Hydrogen car is a vehicle that consumes Hydrogen as its source of power, in order to reduce the use of other energies to make the cars work such as oil and gas.Hydrogen in this type of cars burns in the engine, and in fuel cell conversion it turns to electricity, and with the power of the generated electricity engine works and gives power to the car.
Hydrogen is given to the car in the form of water, and Hydrogen cars are so smart that they can absorb the hydrogen in water and use it.Hydrogen cars are the current projects to be used in the future. But many of them are produced and even used in the Olympic games in 2000 to transport the athletics and save energy.BMW is one of the companies that has achieve its aim in order to produce a car which can avoid polluting the environment. Its first achievement was mini hydrogen powered car in 2001.The latest car that BMW has given out is BMW 750hL hydrogen powered vehicle.
This car is able to use both hydrogen and petrol and switch between them at any time. Hydrogen cars mainly use water to utilize the hydrogen, which has no impact on environment and doesn’t produce any polluting substance such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and nitrous oxide like normal cars.

قيمت انواع خودرو در بازار تهران طي چند روز اخير افزايش يافته است كه بنا به گفته كارشناسان، اين امر ميتواند به مسايلي همچون دستور توقف پروژه الـ90، افزايش تقاضا براي فصل بهار و همچنين مسايل مربوط به كاهش نرخ سود تسهيلات بانكي مربوط باشد.

خودرو پرايد در بازار تهران كه تا پيش از اين شش ميليون و 800 هزار تومان معامله ميشد، به هفت ميليون و 100 هزار تومان رسيده است. پژو 405 نيز كه تا پيش از اين 11 ميليون و 650 هزار تومان به فروش ميرسيد به 12 ميليون تومان رسيده است. همچنين پژو 206 تيپ دو در ارزانترين مدل كه تا پيش از سال 85 با قيمت 10 ميليون و 250 هزار تومان معامله ميشد، به 10 ميليون و 600 هزار تومان در چند روز اخير رسيده است. در همين حال قيمت خودروهاي سمند، پروتن و ريو نيز به ترتيب 11 ميليون و 150، 13 ميليون و 950 و 11 ميليون و 650 هزار تومان است.

نعمتبخش - دبيرانجمن خودروسازان - گفت: با افزايش توليد در چند ماه آينده، قيمت خودرو به روال سابق خود باز خواهد گشت.

وي، يكي از علتهاي اصلي افزايش قيمت خودرو را تنش در بازار و افزايش تقاضا در آغاز فصل بهار عنوان كرد.

در همين حال يك كارشناس خودرو نيز گفت: تنشهاي به وجود آمده براي توقف پروژه الـ90 نيز ميتواند عامل مهمي براي افزايش قيمت خودروهاي هم كلاس ال-90 باشد، زيرا افرادي كه منتظر بودند تا چند ماه آينده اين خودرو را خريداري كنند، با توجه به پخش اخبار توقف توليد آن، به سراغ خريد خودروهاي ديگر رفتهاند كه اين عامل سبب افزايش تقاضا در بازار خودرو شده است.

سعيد ليلاز - كارشناس اقتصادي - نيز گفت: يكي از دلايل افزايش قيمت خودرو، سياستهاي پولي و مالي دولت در سال جديد از جمله كاهش نرخ سود تسهيلات بانكي از 16 به 14 درصد است.

پيش از اين مسوولان وزارت صنايع وعده داده بودند كه قيمت خودرو در سال جديد افزايش نخواهد يافت

عادل آذر ، عضو كميسيون برنامه و بودجه با تاكيد بر حمايت از صنعت خودروي ملي گفت: صنعت خودروي ملي مانند «سمند» ميتواند از نظر قيمت تمام شده و كيفيت به خوبي با «ال 90» رقابت كند.



عادل آذر نماينده دهلران درباره تغيير برخي قراردادهاي بينالمللي اظهارداشت: بايد قبل از انعقاد قراردادهاي بينالمللي تمام جوانب سياسي، اقتصادي و اجتماعي ان را مدنظر قرار داد و واقعيت اين است كه امروز قراردادهاي بينالمللي ميتواند به عنوان مكمل بسيار قوي و ارزشمندي در بده بستانهاي سياسي مورد استفاده قرار گيرد.



وي تصريح كرد: از ديرباز ناهماهنگي بين سياستهاي اقتصادي بينالمللي، مذاكرات و سياستها و تصميمات سياست خارجي مشاهده شده است.



وي گفت: اين ناهماهنگيها را ميتوان در انعقاد قراردادهاي بينالمللي مشاهده كرده و بعضا مشاهده ميشود نگاه دولت به يك قرارداد با تحليل مجلس كاملا در تضاد و مغايرت قرار دارد، در حالي كه چون مبادلات سياسي و اقتصادي با حيثيت نظام گره ميخورد شان نظام را بيان خواهد كرد و بايد با دقت بيشتر و توجه دقيقتر در انعقاد آن عمل كرد.



آذر اضافه كرد: نمونه اين مغايرت در قرارداد «ايران سل» و «ال 90» و در بعضي قراردادهاي گازي و نفتي قابل مثال است و آنچه مسلم است وجهه ملي كشور تحت تاثير تصميمات اقتصادي داخلي و بينالمللي است و هماهنگي تمامي نهادهاي تصميمگيرنده در اين حوزه به خصوص وحدت گفتار و موضعگيري درست و كليدي و سرنوشت ساز توصيه ميشود.



وي گفت: در تصميمات صنعتي به خصوص بحث خودرو مهمترين اولويت بايد حمايت از صنايع داخلي باشد زيرا حمايت از خودروي ملي مانند «سمند» ميتواند از نظر قيمت تمام شده و كيفيت به خوبي با «ال 90» رقابت كند اگرچه ارايه اطلاعات و ارقام در خصوص امكانسنجي «ال 90» ميتواند بر اين تصميم موثر باشد ولي اطلاعات به دست آمده و كارشناسي نشان دهنده اين است كه صنعت خودرو به ويزه خودروي ملي نياز به حمايت جديتر از وضعيت فعلي دارد

New Civic Hybrid is World Green Car 2006


Honda’s new Civic Hybrid has been declared World Green Car for 2006

A jury of 46 international motoring journalists awarded the prestigious title to the environmentally-friendlier vehicle as part of the World Car of the Year Awards. The Civic Hybrid achieves a combined fuel economy of 61.4 miles per gallon and emits fewer carbon emissions than most cars on the road (109g/km).

"Honda [compare Honda prices] continues to be a leader in producing environmentally responsible vehicles that set the standard for fuel economy and low emissions," said John Mendel, Senior Vice President, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "The award-winning 2006 Civic Hybrid is the latest embodiment of Honda’s long-term commitment to the development of environmentally friendly technologies that are also fun to drive."

The Honda Civic Hybrid went on sale in the UK earlier this month. It’s still the cheapest hybrid car available in Britain, priced from just £16,300. It also has an insurance rating of seven (two groups lower than an equivalent petrol-engined car), and the residual value – according to new figures from Glass’s Guide – is 39 per cent after 3 years/60,000 miles. The Civic Hybrid still receives a 100 per cent discount from London’s Congestion Charge.
