اين پوستر تبليغ يک مسابقه سوال و جواب تلفنی بر اساس مسابقه معروف "چه کسی می خواهد ميليونر باشد؟" است که باچان نسخه هندی آن را اجرا می کرد.

اين مسابقه قرار بود روز دوشنبه مصادف با روز استقلال پاکستان آغاز شود.

يکی از مقامات رسمی کراچی به خبرگزاری رويترز گفته است که تصوير باچان در کنار پرچم "عملی قابل اعتراض" است.

ميرزا آصف بيگ به رويتر گفته است، فضای کنار پرچم "فقط مختص قهرمانان خودمان است".

"اشتباه"

اين مسابقه تلفنی توسط شرکتی به نام تله فان (Telefun) برنامه ريزی شده است.

عبدالقادر، مدير بازاريابی تله فان گفته است شرکتش حکم ممنوعيت اين پوستر را می پذيرد.

او به رويترز گفت: "ما جدا کردن تصوير باچان از پرچم ملی پاکستان را شروع کرده ايم". "اين کار يک اشتباه بود."

باچان نقشی در مسابقه شرکت تله فان نداشت.

پخش مسابقه "چه کسی می خواهد ميليونر باشد؟" ماه ژانويه ۲۰۰۶، پس از آنکه باچان به بستر بيماری افتاد و به عمل جراحی نياز پيدا کرد، در هند متوقف شد.
