Tottenham Hotspur's crucial Premier League match at West Ham United on Sunday will go ahead despite several of their players suffering food poisoning.
The match had appeared to be in doubt just two hours before the 1400 GMT kickoff at Upton Park, but Tottenham confirmed that the game would not be called off.
According to Sky Sports, Premier League officials visited the Tottenham team hotel for discussions, where they told Spurs officials that they had an obligation to play the game.
Sky also reported that the Premier League had offered Tottenham a two-hour delay to the kickoff which was declined.
Tottenham's starting line-up showed no notable absentees, with Michael Carrick and top scorer Robbie Keane, who had both been doubtful with ankle injuries, included.
Tottenham need a victory to guarantee finishing fourth in the Premier League and claim the final Champions League qualification spot, providing Arsenal do not beat Barcelona in the Champions League final later this month.
Should Tottenham finish fourth and Arsenal win the Champions League, Tottenham would play in the UEFA Cup.
